Marshfield Kennel Online Web Log: Category Archive for Breeding Whelping Selling Pups

I was pretty happy with their response to my questionnaire.

She did get one thing right, it was too early to tell.

Clearly it's a little early to choose a pup, they were like three weeks old.

Can't believe I actually listed the pup as sold, the check NEVER arrived.

I made a full disclosure, and she still wanted a pup.

At this point I thought I had all the pups sold. Made a mistake in announcing it days before my ad hit the VHD.

I did think Hook would be the last male selected, and he was.

Here's where I picked up Francine was "locked in" on Hook. Note the Subject, a check that NEVER arrived.

As it turns out, Jack was the top choice for the first two folks who wanted males.

I told her that I thought Hook would be the last male selected, but nobody had chosen anything yet.

I could have easily steered the picks, but I did not want to.

Included in no hard feelings is not trashing my reputation...

This SNAFU cost me a couple hundred dollars in advertising, vet bills and food, but I'm glad to not have a person like this in my life.

She tries to give me one more chance to screw other people. The order that folks checks come in is clearly posted on my website.

Thinking of a new "business model" for my next litter.

Dog breeding is an emotional roller-coaster.
