Craig, Janna and Monte came for a visit yesterday.  We took the chance to get in some training for Monte's upcoming Invitational Test.  The set up here is a blind retrieve across about 300 feet of water.  The theoretical set up is that a duck is wounded and it runs up the bank, the dog didn't see it.  We set this up by circling the lake, and planting a bumper on the far side. So without a shot fired, Craig sends Monte for the far shore.

It wasn't a perfect run, but given that Monte hadn't done this drill in a couple of years and I think it was good enough to pass the test, it was a pretty good time.
