Why we screen buyers so thoroughly...

A friend and fellow breeder just had a pup come back to him.  I'm not giving any details out of respect for privacy.  You may see more details if I get permission.  The pup is back because the husband wanted a hunting dog and the wife did not.  The pup is lucky to have been returned young enough to be trained and hunted.

It just reminds me of how hard it is to screen folks.  I'm sure my friend does everything right when placing a pup and still bad things happen.  Anyway, if you are buying a quality pup, you should expect some personal questions.  It's not like you are buying a blender.  If I sold you a blender, I wouldn't care if you never used it, if you were contemplating divorce (and arguing over who would get the blender), or if you planned to resell it on eBay.

This pup will be fine and my friend is going to come out of this OK.  I've been there and something tells me I will be there again.  Just don't get too upset if I ask to talk with your spouse...
