Spock Kennel

We went to visit Dennis & Murielle of Spock Corgi's near Quebec City.  Iris came back into heat for us and we decided to do a face-to-face breeding.

My trip was no fun, as a trip goes, but it did have one huge bright spot -- Spock Kennel.

Dennis and Murielle were so nice to me, and so helpful.  Their home is wonderful, and the dogs are something else.  We were so happy with Spock Tsunami "Stormy" as a sire before we met him.  I expected a little let down to see him in person.  This was not the case.  We were not taken in by a few choice photos.  Stormy is that nice to look at all the time.  His top line is really that straight -- it isn't just a handler who knows how to stack the dog.  Stormy is probably the most balanced and symmetrical Corgi I've ever seen.  He is "correct" in so many ways.  Most of the Corgis I have seen are either light boned, like ours, or so heavily boned they look like they are made of leftover parts of other breeds.  Not Stormy.  He has substantial bone, without being too heavy.

We felt comfortable in dealing with Murielle that Stormy has a biddable temperament.  Well, to meet him is to love him.  He is a happy boy (maybe that's to be expected, I came bearing a girlfriend), but he seems a little calmer than Iris.  Iris and Stormy adored each other and played Corgi Games in the yard.

I got to meet so many of Stormy's relatives I managed to forget which one was mom, and which was grammy.  The one thing I can tell you is they are all really nice Corgis.  I mean it would be really difficult to make a bad Corgi out of generations of good ones.

We couldn't be happier with Stormy, and having nice folks to deal with makes breeding enjoyable.  We recommend you give Spock Kennel consideration for puppies or stud service.
