More on Portia
Portia is getting ready for the fall hunting season which is now open in Maine for both Grouse and Woodcock. Todd and I have done a bit of work with her planting planting birds from here. She's proving to be very nose focused and is doing a great job of finding the birds from quite a distance.
Hey Todd, Just dropping a line to you to let you know I and Fudge are still alive and well, Have been busy as hell lately with training and deer hunting.
Fudge pointed his first prairie chicken and we limited out on 2 birds, He is doing well for a dumb ass, mamma wants him dead for house behavior but she will survive. Quail and pheasant season is just around the corner and the invite is still open, suppose to be good to excellent hunting, I just got back from South Dakota and the birds are everywhere up there, unfortunately I was on business and no fun. Well got to go see ya later.
