Note to Perspective Employers
My appologies to my regular readers. I will be moving this post to the top of the list.
Congratulations, you found me. You may enjoy this site thoroughly, or it might frighten you off. As you can see we are passionate about dogs here. I think I may come of as an arrogant jerk sometimes, but that's the character I play for my blog. There is a time and a place for everything, and this blog is dedicated to strong opinions. It draws eyes to the site, and that's why I blog.
Some folks have said it's disgusting that I post "every detail of [my] personal life" on the web. I can assure you that you are looking at only at certain parts of my life and they are parts I don't consider very personal. The generation coming behind us are even more willing to put their stories on the internet.
As you scan these pages you will notice I never blog about work. I don't blog about any sort of family problems.
I have asked for prayers for folks who are sick and serving over seas.
Although I devote a lot of time to stuff I don't like, I also blog about stuff I do like. My post on Convenia, for instance, is a front page item on Google, and the only non-technical and non-press-release article on the first page.
I beat up quite a bit on non-hunters who ask to buy a German Shortaired Pointer from me. You might take offense to knowing I wouldn't sell you a pup. The primary reason for that is I don't think you'd be happy with the kind of dogs I breed living in your house. Many of the folks who have contated me from GSP breed rescue (most don't hunt) tell me that if everyone bred and sold dogs like me, there wouldn't be any dogs to rescue. Since most people don't hunt these days, I'd have to say that most of my friends are non-hunters.
I am a Republican. It might surprise you to learn that Amanda is a Democrat. I get along very well with other people, even though it might appear otherwise here. Here's what my co-worker of 15 years had to say about me in the office:

"I am sure you will be a huge asset to any company that hires you. You are very knowledgeable and computer savvy, as well as, great telephone conversations you had with customers. Keep me posted on your job search."Because of the internet I learned things about Amanda that made me leery of even going on our first date. I'm so happy I put that aside and just went. If you've made it this far, bring me in for an interview and see for yourself.
