Portia Training

We're tuning up Portia for the season.  We don't expect her to be a world-beater, but hunting her at a few months of age puts her experience level up quite a bit.

She makes game at a pretty good distance, over 75 feet last night with a low breeze.  Then works the scent cone edge to edge.  And of course points the bird at only a few feet.  Crowding is what puppies do, and planted birds don't help with the bad habit.  Thank God that the open season on wild birds is upon us.
