It's September 11th -- Did You Forget?

Did you fly a flag after 9/11?  Do you still?  I did, I don't, and I'm ashamed.  I'm going to fix that tomorrow.

Do you remember where you were and what you did seven years ago?  We all do.

Do you remember how you were afraid and then angry?  Angry enough and scared enough to start two wars?

Are you still angry and scared enough to FINISH two wars?  I am.

Do you remember the WMD's that were surrendered?  It happened in Libya, it's true.  Muammar Qaddafi turned them over because he watched what we did in Iraq (and is probably still sore from Ronnie's wake-up call).  We normalized relations with Libya this week.

The world watches.  If we get punched in the mouth and don't respond (or just shoot misiles into vacant tents), someone else will try to punch us in the mouth.

I sincerely believe that our efforts in Afghanistan and Iraq will prevent World War III.  Several thousand Americans have lost their lives, and several billion dollars spent now, so several million Americans and several quadrillion dollars will be saved.

I want to thank the folks who have fought for us in Afghanistan and Iraq.  Amanda and I have wonderful friends who have been "over there" for multiple tours of duty.  Thank you.

Also a big thank you to those who served in our armed forces, during war times, and while at "peace."  Note to hippie peace-nicks:  we've never been at peace.

Our paid and volunteer folks in Police, Sheriff, Fire, and EMT are our first responders here at home.  Thank You.

Special thanks to Kevin and Jay, Marshfield Kennel's own Rangers.
