Amanda Passed her Chiropractic Exam

Amanda passed her exam, leaving only forty hours of apprenticeship to complete to be certified by whatever the certifying organization is.  I'm very proud of her.

This is window-dressing, however.  In Maine she can legally practice veterinary chiropractic.  It's a wonderful new field for her and I'm surprised to say I'm happy she did it.

Old Colt will be ten this summer and had not jumped on a tailgate in about two years.  He doesn't take much anti-inflammatory anymore, but he sure can jump.  He's as obnoxious as he was as a puppy even with some age-appropriate arthritis.  Amanda looks after him like a mother hen and gives him little adjustments as needed.  She's really good at what she does.

    Congratulations Amanda!

Let me tell you that this is not only good for animals. Two years ago, we were at a NAVHDA test in Wolfe Island, Ontario. My shoulder was terribly sore and Amanda gave me a shock treatment that she usually gives to horses. Within 2 hours the pain was gone and the next day I was able to walk the field 10 times as an apprentice Judge.

Todd will never be able to use pain as an excuse not to do any chores around the farm again :-)

    Excellent! Congrats Amanda.
Can you share your fees? And do you do farm calls?

Yes I do farm calls.  Still figuring out fees.  With travel fee, probably around $150 for one horse and $90 for each additional horse
