Grapes and Raisins Harmful to Some dogs (Wine Probably Too)
OK, usually I look at forwarded e-mail as junk. 99.9% of them are baseless. When I do get one that I care about, I check out Snopes to see if it's real. According to Snopes, grapes and raisins can be toxic to dogs. Rather than go through the whole text, here's the link to the article. http://www.snopes.com/critters/crusader/raisins.asp. Since they don't know what ingredient in grapes is the culprit (but they do know it's grapes and not what's on them), I'd avoid allowing a dog to sip some wine, even on a special occasion.
This has to be incredibly rare, as Amanda never heard of it.
Add this to the list of foods your dog shouldn't have, chocolate, cocoa, macadamia nuts and onions. With the exception of the onions and raw grapes, the others could all wind up in one deadly cookie.
