GSP pups
------------------------- MESSAGE -------------------------

Hi,

Thought I'd be one more of those crazy people sending you an email about GSP pups, but this one is really crazy as I want to say a BIG hurrah to you for being so determined not to sell dogs to people who don't know the breed and don't work the dogs as they were bred to do.

Years ago, my husband and I selectively bred, hunted and field trialed GSPs out of the Tip Top Timmy and Timber lines (yup, THAT long ago). We also were very picky.

Life, kids, jobs and stuff got in the way and we had to give up our beloved GSPs.

Now we love in The County and rescue GSPs that someone else thought would be great family dogs. We have one male, Bailey, who I grabbed from a puppy mill and he couldn't hunt if his life depended on it, but he's lovable and grateful to have someone who understands when he occasionally gets the urge to point a bluejay or a pileated woodpecker.

We also have Hannah, a darling demon dog, who came to us last year through NE GSP rescue. She's a handful, never trained but birdy as all get out. Slowly, slowly, we're bringing her around. This year, we may actually get to do some hunting with her if obedience continues to go well.

Our duaghter, also rescues GSPS, but heartbreakingly just lost her beloved Moxie who was a rescue from Savannah, Georgia who she fell in love with whle she was teaching in NC.

Come spring, she'll be going to rescue to find another GSP who needs love and understanding.

So, thanks for the hard line you've taken, keep up the good work, and maybe, some day, if Hannah ever figures out she's supposed to work with us, maybe we'll run into each other at an event.

Kudos to you and your integrity about the importance of GSPs.

Jan G
