We're engaged.
It's official, we're engaged. I haven't bought the ring, yet. I want to buy something very nice and we're in limbo right now. We're bridging the financing on the farm and money is going to be TIGHT for a while. I'm feeling terribly guilty about it, but Amanda understands.
The wedding will be June 9 in Union, Connecticut. Will be one of the more casual weddings you've ever been to. Hoping to make it fun and family friendly. I'm thinking kind of like a NAVHDA test, but with a wedding instead of dogs. I'm pretty sure my vision isn't everyone else's, and it's important for the families to be happy too, especially our mothers.
We'll have a separate page for all the details, updated regularly.
If all goes well, we'll be closing on December 1 on the farm. Just in time for Christmas.
The cat is out of the bag at work. I am trying to keep my job there. I've been with Tonry for 13 years. We're installing the technology to allow me to work from home. I'd really like to keep the job. If I can't I want to make sure my replacement is hired and trained. They've been good to me and either way, I think we can respect the decisions that are made. I have to go on with my "real" life, and if they can't keep me on, then I can respect that.
Amanda, I love you.
Todd
