Decent Interaction with a Nonhunter

For the record, I'm not a total jerk all the time.  This still took way more time than it shoud have.  I get this question EVERY DAY.

Hi.

I am very interested in getting a German Shorthaired pointer.  I'm not sure how the process works; I was wondering if you could help me out.

Thanks,

Karen

Karen,

I only sell pups to hunters.  You'd be doing a great service and get a fine dog by going to GSP rescue of New England where I'm also a volunteer.  I'm cc'ing my friend Audrey who is the head honcho.

Hi.

I checked out rescue GSP on line, and only saw 2 dogs. I really want a young dog.  I would love to get a dog from a rescue place, but my boyfriend is very picky. Do you often have new full bread GSP's come into the rescue place? We're not in a rush to get a dog; we can wait some time. But we definitely want one eventually.

Thanks.

Karen,

The young dogs never make it onto the web site.  They are placed from the waiting list as soon as they come in, which is unfortunately too often.  Back-to-school time gets an influx.

GSP rescue only deals in pure-bred dogs.  I've personally handled pups as young as 12 weeks.

Put your name on the list and a dog will head your way.
