Roxie's NA Test

The next big news of the day was Roxie.  I keep thinking of her as Little Roxie, but she’s the same size as Diva.  Ray and Roxie worked very well as a team.  I didn’t get to see much of her run as I was busy trying to keep myself squared away.  However, the report from Ray was he never spoke to her, unless the judges asked him to.

OK, everyone knows were this is going.  The folks who don’t have to speak to their dogs get the same score.  She also swam and tracked well too.  The judges read the scores:  Four… Four…. Four… Four… One Hundred and Twelve Points and a Prize I.

I’m very proud of Ray and Pascale.  Roxie was taking out birds not long ago and they went back to the training table and fixed her right up.

The other nice thing about the very high score is Roxie and Tilou have always been compared to each other, and Roxie didn’t always seem to measure up.  I’ve always believed that high-motor dogs are the way to go, but they are a handful, especially as puppies.

Well the two dogs ran very different tests and scored 112 and 110 points.  I think Roxie will be harder to train, but will excel in the areas where independence is key, like the duck search.  Tilou at this point seems to be the kind of dog that will be easy to steady up.  Ray and Pascale seem to appreciate now that they have two very good pups to work with.
