Effects of Strong Loony
Since my girlfriend's practice is in Old Orchard Beach, and my friends are Quebecers, this article seems interesting.
I should note that the opposite is true for folks from the US traveling to Canada. A case of beer (24 cans) set me back $35US on my last visit ($1.45/beer). The same (brand) beer comes in a 30 pack for $22 (including deposit) at my local store ($0.73/beer). Don't get excited about the gas price at about $1.00 in Canada; that's per liter. OK, just did my homework. Canadian Bud 5% ABV. USA Bud 4.7% ABV.
Anyway, Canada, and Quebec in particular is a wonderful place to visit. It's terribly expensive thanks to the taxes on absolutely everything, and now the weak US dollar.

Correction on the price of beer...
The Canadian Beer is stronger than the American Beer that tastes like water! [Editor's note, the Canadian Bud is only 0.3% stonger, there's some other reason for the taste difference.] Therefore it might worth it to pay for it... But still, it's very expensive to get drunk in Canada, especially if you have to drive far for your beer... you have to add the price of gas on every can of beer...
That's why we've decided to make our own wine and decided to cut on beer =)
Happy training and sip on it, don't gulp it down =)
