Time to respond to some personal attacks.
Last fall, I had some dealings with Francine from New York a/k/a "Pixie Bee" on the Internet. She's made some statements on the Internet that are just plain false. I've never responded because it's just not worth the effort to deal with negativity.
Here's the deal, this woman wanted, desperately, a dog from me. At the time she called, I had three males available, and two deposits for males before hers. I do NOT juggle pick order or steer folks around to sell the last pup. It's a common practice, and completely unethical.
In a span of four days, with pups that were not yet three weeks old, she went from accepting that she had the last selection to demanding a particular dog, Hook (now called Drake).
One of the things that made me think Francine would be a good fit for my pups is she's tough and pushy. I thought it was a good fit, but there's a limit to what I'm going to do, and I don't care how tough and pushy someone is, they aren't going to bully me into doing something unethical. I'm not going to screw folks who have become my friends, and put my reputation on the line to sell one puppy.
I refused to sell her the dog because she was insisting on one pup that I would not guarantee would be available to her. She's sore about it and recently ran into Drake and his owners at a DK event in Maine. (Drake isn't DK, but the folks own another dog that is.)
Somehow, in Francine's mind, she backed out of the deal because Dove and Tango are "too pig-headed." I make no bones about the type of dog I breed. I like them mentally tough and able to stand up to training. I love big-running, hard-charging shorthairs. If that's not your cup of tea, fine! Buy a dog from someone else. I see limp, uninspired GSP's all the time; I don't critisize the breeders. I just go on doing my thing.
Anyway, here's the complete e-mail record. The only thing removed is a couple of sub-plot mentions of my family that don't really effect anything. I also added some emphasis and noted such. I posted them so they'd be in order from top to bottom. So read in that direction. You can see the dates and times of the emails and everything.
