Trying to improve my love life

I'm trying to improve my love life via on-line dating.  So far, so-so.  They've introduced me to one potential (good) match, and I'm pretty sure she's reading so I have to be a bit careful.

Anyway, they give you a psych evaluation and IQ test wrapped up in one neat package.  Theoretically the women they find should be good personality matches with me, and VERY BRIGHT.   Here's the deal on this.  Most (I think it's over 80%) successful relationships happen between folks who are +/- 5 IQ points.  If you think this is BS, imagine life with someone much smarter than you then someone much less intelligent.  OK now you probably agree that the range has to be close, and we're probably quibbling over how close.

That ten point spread makes for a lot of potential matches when you are close to average.  My window is about 2% of the population.  To put it another way, take 100 random women, one would be almost as smart as I, but acceptable, a second would be a little smarter than I.  OK, take those two, what do you think the odds are one will put up with 4 dogs?

Anyway, Miss Right is out there, and hopefully the computer will help me sort her out.  High IQ isn't the only filter, it's just one of the first and it sifts out quite a large portion of the population.
